IPGuru was built to solve a problem the patent system has never solved for the individual inventor. Patents are slow, expensive, and written in a language inventors do not speak. Taking one invention to filing with an attorney from scratch typically costs upwards of $15,000 and months of work before there is even a draft an attorney can act on. The result is that most genuinely novel ideas never get protected at all, because the first step costs thousands and the process is opaque.

So we built a different way in. IPGuru takes an inventor from the spark of an invention to a complete, file-ready patent package through one guided conversation, with no patent training required. The journey is called FORGE: Focus, Observe, Refine, Grade, Execute. Telling your idea and finding out whether it is worth pursuing is free; you pay per project only when an idea proves worth building. And when a patent is not the right answer, IPGuru says so, guiding you to a trade secret when that fits better.
