The six lab sheets

One lab closes each part of Session 1, and every lab runs on the idea you brought. The fields on the sheet are the boxes of the invention pack, so you fill the shape the course shows finished. A4, one sheet per page, made to print.

The invention pack sheet

One sheet that states what the invention is, how it works, what is new, and what is still open. Its boxes are problem, person and success; intent and kind; criteria and measures; working principle; composition; tensions and decisions; evidence; the closest thing; what is open; and what is new. Session 0 shows it finished, every class fills named boxes, and the gate reads it as a whole. The lab sheets above carry the same fields in the order the course fills them.

One invention, through every lab

The course teaches with one invention worked end to end, so you see the inventor's decision at each step and not only the output.

The cooling seat

A phase-change cooling seat for a person who cannot leave a hot flat during a heatwave. The same idea runs through all six labs: the honest sentence, the expert concerns, the drawings, the evidence and the experiment, the enabling description, the novelty statements, and the door chosen at the end.
