IPGuru writes documents from your Idea: disclosures, briefs, descriptions, plans and more. Each one is a draft you read, with an evaluation, before you accept it.
Four tabs, in order
Each document shows whether it is ready. Ready and Thin can both be generated; Thin means more input would improve it. Stale means the Idea has changed since it was made. Tick several to generate a set. All available ticks the documents written for the goals you chose.
If something is missing, Resolve inputs shows exactly what. Open that part of the scenario, save your change, then come back and check again. Optional improvements can be skipped. Nothing starts until you choose Generate.
Generation runs on IPGuru's servers. Follow it here, or leave: a notification tells you when it is done.
Read the current version. Its evaluation says whether it meets the bar, its weakest part, and what to improve, in words before numbers. Accept it, or tell Iris what to change: that makes a new version for review, and the one you read stays as it was.
Download a finished document as PDF or Word. Every export is kept in the scenario's Vault beside the document.
The number of document types you can generate depends on your membership. A locked document names the level that includes it. See Pricing.
A document can leave IPGuru, so read it in full. Check it against the current Idea, look for claims stated as facts that are only proposals, and check what is still unanswered. A high evaluation score does not replace your own review.
The top of Documents shows, by audience, whether each document would read thin, so you can see what to strengthen before generating.
