Use IPGuru from Meta Muse

Meta Muse builds a custom connector to a service when you ask it to. Muse's custom connectors use a key from that service. Make an IPGuru access key in Connected apps in your IPGuru account, then give it to Muse. Muse Code, Meta's coding agent, connects with sign-in instead.

With an access key

Access keys come from Connected apps in your IPGuru account.

Make an access key in IPGuru

In the IPGuru app at chat.ipguru.ai, open Account from the account menu. Under Connected apps, choose Make an access key. Name it Muse, choose its permissions, and choose when it expires: after 30, 90 or 365 days, or no expiry. Choose Make key, then Copy key: IPGuru shows the key only once. Test key checks it works before you close the screen.

Ask Muse to build the connector

Say to MuseBuild a custom connector to IPGuru. Its MCP server address is https://mcp.ipguru.ai/mcp and it uses streamable HTTP. It needs the header Authorization: Bearer followed by my IPGuru access key. Ask me for the key through your secure credentials, not in this chat. Then test it by listing my IPGuru scenarios.

Give Muse the key safely

Enter the key only where Muse asks for credentials, never in the chat itself. Muse keeps it in its secure credentials store.

  • If Muse offers to sign in instead. If Muse opens IPGuru's sign-in page, sign in and approve, as with other assistants. You do not need a key then.
  • Remove the key from Connected apps in your IPGuru account at any time. Muse then loses access within about a minute.
  • Meta's own help pages do not yet describe custom connectors to MCP servers in detail. These steps follow published guides and may change.

Muse Code

Settings file and sign-in

Muse Code connects with IPGuru's normal sign-in, so it does not need a key. These steps follow Meta's documentation and are not yet tested by IPGuru.

Add IPGuru to the mcp_servers block of your Muse Code settings file:

The IPGuru skill. Unzip ipguru-skill.zip and install it:

Good to know

Muse and IPGuru

  • First prompt. Start with: "Use IPGuru to open my session and list my scenarios with their Idea scores and app links. Keep this read-only."
  • Choose permissions with care. A key with Spend can put the crew to work and use your allowance. A Read-only key can only look.
