A skill is a small set of instructions an AI assistant reads when it needs them. The IPGuru skill tells your assistant how to run a crew turn, when to ask before spending, and how to handle the crew's cards. It is free, and it uses the open Agent Skills format, so one download works in many assistants.

Where the skill goes

When you unzip into a folder, check that the main file ends up at .../ipguru/SKILL.md, not one folder deeper.

Claude and CoworkCustomize, then Skills, then +, then Upload a skill. Pick the zip. Code execution must be on. On Team and Enterprise, an owner turns skills on first.
Claude CodeUnzip into ~/.claude/skills/, or a project's .claude/skills/.

Ask before spending your allowance. Never invent what the crew said. Report what actually happened, not what was queued. Keep your newer work safe. Recover from a lost reply without paying twice. Leave the crew's cards for you to decide.

The skill also tells your assistant to read IPGuru's own guide for each kind of work, which comes from IPGuru's servers and stays current. Nothing in the skill runs code.

Keeping it current

  • The version is at the top of SKILL.md. When we change the skill, we update this page and the version.
  • To update, download it again and replace the ipguru folder, or upload the new zip in place of the old one.
